A central contact point for all visitors will open in April 2023 in the former Margravial Comedy and Redoutenhaus next door.

The adjoining building of the Margravial Opera House will become a museum with a World Heritage information center. The opening ceremony is planned for April 21, 2023. On April 22, 2023, there will be an open day with free entry for all citizens.

The Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012. Part of the building ensemble, the Margravial Comedy and Redoutenhaus, has been undergoing renovations since autumn 2019.

The permanent exhibition that is being created here will show the outstanding position of the Margravial Opera House and the baroque theater and opera culture under Margravine Wilhelmine. It presents interesting facts about the Margravine and the architect of the well-known building, theater life on and behind the stage as well as Bayreuth theater history. The World Heritage Information Center will also be set up there.
