This challenging loop is just the thing for exploring the countryside around Bayreuth. The trail leads past rock formations and through a remarkable geotope.
Route description
The rock path around Schlehenberg starts in the Aichig district. From Kemnather Straße, follow Mostholzstraße onto the walking trail. After about 3.5 km the route reaches the Bodenmühle geotope. The village of Meyernreuth, which the path runs through, is a useful landmark. The trail then follows a river all the way around Schlehenberg. From the inn it continues for around 2 km until you can cross the Red Main on the Schafsteg footbridge. Passing several flow trails, you walk back to the starting point.
