A fine tour in the west of Bayreuth
This tour along the old railway path leads through the idyllic landscape around Bayreuth.
Route description
Starting on Adolf-Wächter-Straße, a paved cycle path leads west out of the city. The former railway line along Bamberger Straße takes you straight into the Donndorf district and to Palace Fantaisie. The route then continues through Teufelsgraben as far as Oberpreuschwitz and Dörnhof. In the village, ride straight on at the crossroads onto a forest track to Dühlhof and then Tannenbach. There you cross the country road and continue on a gravel path to Oberobsang. Via Thurnauer Weg and Scheffelstraße you return to the inner city. At the next junction turn onto Bamberger Straße and follow it back to the starting point.
