Around the historic city centre to the city’s green landmarks
Starting at Wilhelminenaue, this route takes you via the historic old town to some of Bayreuth’s best-loved parks and gardens.
Route description
Äußere Badstraße is the starting point for the park loop. The cycle path climbs via Königsallee. You pass the university campus and continue towards Röhrensee as far as Bamberger Straße. After crossing it, head into town following the Therme tour and, at the Red Main, turn right towards Annecyplatz. Stay on the Therme tour, turn left to ride through a high-rise building and continue to the end of Rosestraße. Turn right and follow the cycle path along Riedelsberger Weg. The route then continues via Albrecht-Dürer-Straße as far as the end of Eremitagestraße, then downhill. At Wilhelminenaue, take the path left towards St. Johannis / Hermitage. Turn right into Steinachstraße and cross Eremitagestraße. The underpass of the A9 motorway brings you back to the starting point.
