Stage set for Jean Paul

Visi­tors encounter Jean Paul‘s legacy in Bayreuth in many ways. His resi­dence in the Frie­de­rich­strasse which was also the house he died in, the grave site at the city ceme­tery, the center monu­ment on the Jean Paul place, the Roll­wen­zelei on the way to the Eremi­tage and the palaces and parks which were used as the scenery in some of the most beau­tiful scenes in his novels. These places are connected with each other through the Jean Paul walk way. Many infor­ma­tive plaques along those places let the reader immerse in the life and works of Jean Paul.
