Bayreuth for Children – Fun and Games for All Ages

The city centre with its wide pedestrian zone and colourful cultural programme, as well as events, playgrounds and more, are a particular delight for young visitors.

On the Bayreuth for Children page we have put together lots of tips for a child-friendly holiday. Besides the classic “playground“, Bayreuth offers, for example, a free animal enclosure at the Röhrensee, a Primeval World Museum with lifelike dinosaurs or a shady mini golf course. Girls and boys can also look forward to child-friendly city tours.

Larger groups can also book an Exitmobil with exciting puzzles. The Bayreuth museums also have plenty on offer for young visitors.

Excursions to the Fichtelgebirge and Franconian Switzerland also offer children lots of opportunities for an entertaining stay. The Pottenstein Erlebnismeile with summer toboggan runs, a rock pool, a lake for boat trips and many other attractions is a must during a stay in Bayreuth.

In the Fichtelgebirge, the wildlife park in Mehlmeisel or the Alpine Coaster on the Ochsenkopf tempt young guests out into the fresh air. A hike through the rocky countryside is always a highlight, too. Climbing smaller rocks and being proud of what you have achieved – what could be better?

Bayreuth has a lot to offer children. Discover the city with your family and enjoy an exciting, fun and eventful holiday in the city and the region. The staff at the Tourist Information will be happy to give you more tips for things to do with children. You can reach us on +49 921 / 88588 or .
