Taking your bike with you
VGN public transport:
The city of Bayreuth is part of the Greater Nuremberg transport association (Verkehrsverbund Großraum Nürnberg, VGN). With a few exceptions, bicycles can generally be taken on all VGN means of transport.

Deutsche Bahn trains:
Many regional trains are already equipped with multi-purpose compartments for bikes and cyclists. The bicycle symbol in the boarding areas shows you the way to the spaces for your bike.
As many cyclists as possible are carried. If it gets crowded, however, safety suffers. Unfortunately, it is therefore not possible to guarantee that your bike can be taken along.
