How to get there

  • On foot – it is about 4 kilometres from the city centre, so from the Tourist Information at Opernstraße 22, 95444 Bayreuth, for example, it would be a walk of just over an hour.
  • By bike – our cycling and hiking map (PDF) offers a few suggestions for routes to reach the Hermitage.
  • By bus – take line 302 or 303 to the “Eremitage” or “Ochsenhut” stop (find a suitable bus connection on the VGN website).
