The Lindenhof environmental centre of the Bayreuth district group of the LBV (Landesbund für Vogelschutz) on the southern edge of the city of Bayreuth invites you to enjoy a variety of nature and educational experiences.
In a converted four-sided farmhouse on Karolinenreuther Straße, visitors will find a nature museum and nature observation facilities for children and adults. The site has been transformed into a unique place to meet and observe nature by creating several ponds and valuable biotopes. Two observation towers allow bird watching and provide insights into the lives of numerous animal species.
The Lindenhof is not only a contact point for nature enthusiasts, but also a recognised environmental education centre and has held the “Umweltbildung.Bayern” quality seal since 2006. Events, conferences and educational projects are organised here, as well as campaigns for education for sustainable development.
