Carnival – the fifth season!
From February 14 to 17, 2026, Bayreuth’s city center will once again transform into a colorful hub of carnival fun.
Four days full of joy, lively music, exuberant dancing, and a vibrant market atmosphere that turns the city into a festive carnival scene. One thing’s for sure: Carnival will be exciting this year!
🎭Parade & Costume Contest
A true highlight again this year is the big “Gaudiwurm” parade on Carnival Sunday!
Around 700 participants from numerous local groups and clubs will showcase their creative, elaborately designed carnival floats and deliver a colorful spectacle. The parade is a yearly highlight for all carnival fans.
👑 Costume Contest for the Youngest Carnival Fans
Right after the parade, the popular costume competition takes place – with great prizes for the best costumes!
