An exciting outing over Roter Hügel
A somewhat more demanding loop that rewards walkers with beautiful countryside, waterfalls and excellent places to stop for a bite to eat.
Route description
The starting point is the “Meranierring” bus stop. From there, follow Preuschwitzer Straße along Hohe Straße as far as Eckersdorf. After about 1.5 km turn right onto the walking trail towards Oberwaiz and follow the edge of the woods. Passing Am Anger, continue via Dorfstraße to the waterfalls. Once there, keep right as far as the Teufelsloch. Through the forest the path leads via Dörnhof and Oberpreuschwitz back into the city. Ahornweg takes you straight back to the Meranierring bus stop.
