# Bayreuth in Bildern: Urban Art

Dass Bayreuth mit den Opern Richard Wagners, die bei den Festspielen aufgeführt werden, mit zwei Weltklasse-Opernhäusern, eines davon sogar **UNESCO-Welterbe** und zahlreichen weiteren **internationalen Festivals** ganz oben mitspielt, wenn’s um Musik und Kultur geht, ist weithin bekannt und steht außer Frage. Aber was die Wenigsten wissen: auch beim Thema Urban Art braucht sich Bayreuth keineswegs zu verstecken, ganz im Gegenteil!

**Rund 35 Objekte**, Skulpturen, Plastiken und Streetart-Malereien umfasst die Bayreuther Open-Air Galerie, darunter Arbeiten bedeutender Künstler des 20. Jahrhunderts wie Alfred Hrdlicka, Horst Antes oder Carl Fredrik Reuterswärd. Die Werke finden sich größtenteils in der historischen Innenstadt, aber auch im Festspielpark und an der Universität
